The Australian born, international award winning artist has been creating art ever since she was a young child. She moved to Long Beach, California in 2008 and draws her inspiration from her surrounding environment, the ocean, nature, the desert and it’s weather.
Sallie-Anne has a degree in Graphic Design and has worked, lectured and consulted as a graphic designer for many years but now dedicates her time to painting. For many years the artist painted realism and used only oils, pastel and pencil but since moving to the US she has discovered her love for abstract and now enjoys using acrylic and mixed media to create bold textures that are balanced with a sense of harmony and will often reflect her humorous side.
She has exhibited in shows and galleries in Australia and the USA. She has won numerous awards and received invitations to exhibit in France, Florence, Italy and New York. Her work appears in private collections in Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, the USA and Australia and is
represented in three hard back publications, “International Contemporary Masters (Volumes 5 & 6)” and “Art Tells The Story”.
Sallie-Anne accepts commission work and enjoys the challenge of creating pieces for each new environment, incorporating colors and textures that will compliment interiors and exteriors and enhance their intended design. Her commissioned work is hanging in some of LA’s finest corporate offices and prestigious beachside homes as well as desert residences in Palm Desert and Scottsdale, Arizona.
